Nick Diaz has been arrested in Las Vegas
UFC middleweight star Nick Diaz has been arrested for a domestic violence incident on Thursday in Las Vegas.
Diaz, 34, is in custody and his bail has been set at $18,000. He will remain in custody until a court hearing scheduled for Saturday morning.
This was first reported by Front Row Brian on Twitter.
Diaz (26-9) has not competed in the UFC since 2015 when he faced off against Anderson Silva at UFC 183. That fight was eventually ruled a no contest after both fighters failed drug tests.
His younger brother Nate Diaz had his own brush with the law earlier this month at a Combate Americas show in Sacramento when he had a physical altercation with Clay Guida.
Diaz has been charged with felony domestic battery by strangulation and with a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.
Diaz recently became eligible to compete again after completing his one-year suspension with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.
